My Dear 1993/94 classmates...

17 years have gone by since we sat together doing our MBA of the University of Hull. A few I was told went on to pursue their doctorates. Congratulatulation to all of them. We should be referring to them as 'Dr' now....heheh. Since then, I am sue you will have noticed that there has been a chain reaction of change sweeping relentlessly across everything around us. Politics, government, businesses, war, tsunamis and the latest flavour-of-the-month buzzword: global warming.

When we began our studies then, quit a few have retired, a few was nearing retirement but by now I guess almost allmost have retired (mandatorily I mean) except for perhasp Rosli, Adam, Lai, Elaine, Karen and a others. Me? I should reach my mandatory retirement age in 2010. Not very far away. The next thing you know it's right at your doorstep. What frightens us all more is the statistics that indicate that your EPF should last no longer than 3 years after you retire...hahaha and to make matters worse...one need at least RM1.4mil to retire comfortably. Well, even that is not enough to pay your medical bill if you project what medical bills are going to look like 15 years from now...if you live that long that is...hahaha.

I was thinking, how in this digital era we could still keep in touch. I emailed a few old photos to a few of our classmates recently. They liked it, and I hope it was forwarded to the others as well. I would assume that EVERONE would at least have a PC at home. Those still gainfully employed would definitely be given a notebook by their employers to carry around. I am assuming that we all spend a good number of hours chatting, communicating, working, exchanging documents etc online. Even the government is beefing-up its e-delivery systems! So I thought perhaps having our very own HULLMBA1994 blog would be nice so everyone can go to our blog, read and pen your thoughts as well to continue communicating and keeping in touch with each other through cyber space. It's not exclusive to the Y generation only you know? Lots of grannies in UK, US and Europe are communicating via the internet extensively....hahaha

Happy blogging my friends....
